Performing Arts for Kids

Kerry studied Classical Performance at Elder Conservatorium of Music, and Musical Theatre at WAAPA. She has enjoyed a wide-ranging stage career, with roles in 42nd Street, Mr Cinders, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Man of La Mancha, Sweeney Todd, The Taming of the Shrew, Dido and Aeneas, The Yeoman of the Guard, Closer than Ever, Cosi fan Tutte, The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, The Secret Garden, Fiddler on the Roof, Into the Woods, Anything Goes, Iolanthe, The Fantasticks and Merrily We Roll Along. Kerry has performed as a soloist around the world and is equally at home in front of an audience of four as she is in front of a sold-out Royal Albert Hall.
 

Kerry has had a long and successful teaching career, encompassing singing, music and drama. During that time, Kerry prepared senior students for performance exams and drama school auditions, conducted choirs for children of all ages, wrote and produced her own musicals, and directed and musically directed shows such as Annie, West Side Story and The Sound of Music. While living in the UK she was able to work at a highly regarded Stagecoach School where she saw children grow from shy to confident. Kerry’s passion for helping children flourish is why she wanted to bring this program to Adelaide, to give children here the chance to develop important life skills in a creative and fun environment!
