A seemingly difficult conversation with your Competitor could grow both your businesses significantly overnight.

The Collaboration Circles exercise is a tool to help you visualise the opportunities of working with your competitor, instead of against them.

In the left circle, consider the skills, clients and aspects of your business, that your competitor doesn't have or do.

In the right circle, consider the skills, clients and aspects of your competitor, that you don't have or do.  This is what you potentially have to gain from collaborating.

In the middle, consider the skills, clients or goals you have in common.  You might notice that the list of things you compete for is rather small, compared to what you both stand to gain.
