Petit Circus: Bon Appetit - Fringe Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - 4 stars
What a journey! Comedy, food, slapstick, circus - and a great balance of all ingredients to make for a tasty kids show!
The skill of these performers is undeniable - they execute the act with precision and finesse. Although there was the odd moment that one of the actors dropped a prop mid trick or fell during a stunt, the recovery was quick and they engaged well with the crowd to keep their trust and brushed off most errors with humour. Weaving elements of juggling, tightrope walking, music, comedy and more, this minimal dialogue show seems to engage the crowd regardless of age! Brace yourself for the moment they juggle a fire stick, cooking pan and raw egg... ON A TIGHTROPE! Plenty of moments for oohs and aahs in this show.
With all the ingredients put together, you’re served a full tasty meal at the end - greeted by much applause from everyone.
Although this show is categorised for children (I’d suggest any age child would find it interesting), the circus elements are great for adults too. This is one of the better shows I’ve seen in the circus category for kids and would highly recommend it!
Make sure you see it this year before Fringe ends.
